The Mission
The purpose of the Sastra Dana project is to enlighten people with the spiritual information given by Srila Prabhupada in his books, and to enable devotees to participate directly in missionary activity by sponsoring and distributing Srila Prabhupada's books.
How Can We Participate?
* By sponsoring the books
* By personally distributing the sponsored books
* By contributing creative ideas for securing donations or distributing books
* By telling others about the Sastra Dana project
What are the Benefits of Sastra Dana?
Everyone benefits!!! People in general benefit by having the opportunity to read about Krishna, and you directly participate in the preaching mission of Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Srila Prabhupada. Your help increases book distribution, which is the highest welfare work for all humanity.
How Do We Distribute the Books?
We distribute donated books by placing them in locations where they will be properly kept and read, such as Public libraries, Schools, Government offices, Motels, Hotels, Restaurants, Hospital waiting rooms, Dentists' offices, Doctors’ offices... Sastra Dana members also distribute books to friends, family, colleagues, and acquaintances.
All BBT publications are made available to you at printing cost only. Donations to Sastra Dana are fully tax deductible. Receipts are available upon request.

If any of our activities inspire you and you would like to participate in it, we would be delighted to have you in our team. You can participate in the Sastra Dana program in various different ways. You could help distribute the books, sponsor them, volunteer time for administrative activities, or just spread the word. If you know any hotel/motel owners/managers, please get us in touch with them and we could place Bhagavad Gitas in their hotels/motels. If you would like to distribute books in your neighborhood stores, public places, libraries, etc., please see us and we will gladly supply books to you.
